Ground Segment Sustainment (SGSS) project for NASA from September 2011 to
present. Systems engineering on development of software for NASA space network
Fleet and Ground Management (FGM), entailing requirements engineering and
authoring of control documents that define software interfaces for SGSS network
management functions. Tools included IBM Rational DOORS, IBM Rational Rhapsody,
IBM Rational ClearCase, and SmartBear CodeCollaborator.
Participated on a KinetX software development team for the Broad Area Maritime
Surveillance (BAMS) Aircraft Recorder project from October 2010 to
August 2011. Role focused mainly on testing
and verification, including development of test suites for integrated and
acceptance testing as well as authoring of the Software Test Plan (STP),
Software Test Description (STD), and Software Test Report (STR) documents
as defined in the KinetX CMMI project plan.
Participated as an appraiser in CMMI 1.2 SCAMPI team appraisal for successful
attainment of Level 3 certification by KinetX.
Contracted by KinetX to the
General Dynamics C4S
Trusted Virtual Environment (TVE) project from November 2009 to September 2010
as a systems engineer. Development of software in Python, ANSI C, and Shell
for a virtualization platform utilizing VMware that complies with NSA security
guidances and DISA Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG). Also
engineered a VPN solution for TVE utilizing CISCO ASA and StrongSWAN.
Contracted to the
General Dynamics C4S
Future Combat Systems (FCS) project
from June 2008 to September 2009
as a system engineer. Development of software in C++, Python, and Shell
for a Cross Domain Guard (CDG) solution. Also provided systems
administration, systems integration, and network engineering support for
the development team lab. Significant development work in C++ with
the OpenSSL API, including FIPS enablement. Acquired experience using
IBM ClearCase and Rational Rose RT. Development and target platform is
RedHat Enterprise Linux 5.1. Contracted afterward to the General Dynamics
Trusted Virtual Environment project. Then assigned to the
Broad Area Maritime Surveillance (BAMS) Airborne Recorder (BAR) project
development team within KinetX in order to help develop a radar recording system for
an unmanned airborne vehicle (i.e. drone aircraft) to be used chiefly by
the Navy.
